A dedicated, long serving member of the CFA and hard working farmer, Pat also was a keen photographer who generously allowed Protect our Farms to use his work in our digital and printed products.

It is with heavy hearts that Springfield Fire Brigade shares the sad news of the passing of our mate, Pat Clarke.
Ex-Captain Pat was a true gentleman, a respected firefighter and a man with an incredible passion for his community. His knowledge, dedication and friendship have left a lasting mark on all of us.
Our thoughts are with Pat’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. We hope they can take comfort in knowing just how much Pat was respected, admired and loved by his brigade family and the wider community.
Pat’s name is proudly carried on Springfield Tanker 2 — and every time that truck rolls out of the station, we’ll know a little piece of you is with us.

Monday night’s 6/7/26 Mitchell Shire Council Questions and Hearings Committee meeting was presented a petition from Protect Our Farms Inc to call for an Agricultural Advisory Committee.
The petition, which has 628 signatures, is looking to establish an advisory group to Mitchell Shire Council.
This group would fill an essential need, to ensure farming and agriculture are well represented in decision making by Council. This would hopefully result in saving ratepayer funds, speeding up discussions and decisions and protecting and enhancing the farming and agricultural contribution in our LGA.
